Dr. Peer Mufti Sahib performed Hajj twice. On one occasion, all his Hajj expenses were bore by Alhaj Sheikh Muhammed Amin, Proprietor, International Housing Society, 9, The Mall, Rawalpindi. Sheikh Sahib, in this context, feels a strange incident. He says that when some disbelievers forcibly occupied the Holy Kaaba, he was one of the many people who had got besieged inside the Harm Sharif all were in

danger.
It was perilous and risky to make any attempt to get out of the Harm Sharif. At that moment, Sheikh sahib says he vowed before Allah that if his life were saved, he would send Mufti Sahib at his expenses to perform Hajj the next year. After making this prayer, Sheikh Sahib started towards the exit to come out of the Harm Sharif. Shots continued to be fired and these shots passed from his left and right side but without hitting him.
He thus came out the Harm Sharif safe and sound. When returned, he rang up Mufti Sahib from Rawalpindi and gave him the tidings that he would be sending Mufti Sahib on Hajj at his expenses. It was thus that Mufti Sahib performed the first Hajj at the expense of Alhaj Sheikh Sahib; Mufti Sahib performed the second Hajj (as Hajj-e- Badal) for late Mian Ehsan on the request of his son and widow. In 1986, he performed Umrah in January while on his way to South Africa.
